Our Services
Founded by Ava Broussard and Kerrigan Hardy, our nonprofit organization is dedicated to rescuing animals from unsafe, cruel or harmful environments and giving them a second chance at life in proper, protected habitats. We hope to provide rescue and safe rehabilitation for displaced and neglected animals. Our organization also focuses on habitat restoration and re-wilding, helping return animals to their natural ecosystems whenever possible and placing those who cannot be released into sanctuaries. through education, we strive to protect wildlife, restore balance to nature and be a voice for animals who cannot speak for themselves.
Meet the founders
The AK Wildlife Rescue project was founded by Kerrigan Hardy and Ava Broussard. The two of us have shared a love for animals especially those living in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries for years and have always wanted to rescue them. Our journey began when one afternoon we took a Zoo trip and noticed how miserable the animals seemed. Ever since that day we have worked towards taking a step into saving them. Animals deserve to live their lives free and not locked up in cages. At Ak Rescue we strive to make a difference. Driven on curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets proper execution, together we can make a change.
